Living room

When we moved in here the previous owners had a little mishap with one of the upstairs radiators which meant the day we moved in we found the living room ceiling wallpaper hanging down. It was unable to be saved so we had to strip it all off.

We have painted the ceiling, cornice and freeeze.

There was also an old Victorian fire was in the living room with a magnificent surround that was fitted with an unused gas fire (it looked both scarey and dangerous!!). As we don't have gas here now, thankfully, we removed the gas parts and re-opened the original open fire. After a very short time some parts of the fire parts disintegrated and we couldn't get replacements so we took a deep breath and changed this....

We still have to take up the carpet and either sand the floor boards or lay wood floor but I do like the new stove .... and it makes lovely toast too :-)

Rooms

We have been so busy recently with our house. We bought our house from a lovely family over two years ago and have been putting our own stamp on it.

Our eldest son Chris, even though he is a below knee amputee, has the second floor as his own flat. When we moved in his flat was very dark and, in his words, 'old fashioned'!!

I will take more photo's of the whole room soon. Chris loves his new 'lounge' but his bedroom, computer room and bathroom still have a long way to go!

Sorry Blog world, I knew that I would have times like these, where I am too busy or distracted to blog!

I have been so busy with my work but I have struggled how I might put anything on here without breaching confidentiality. Difficult one to manage I think.

I have also been without a camera so took pics on my phone, now I just need no 1 son to show me how to put the pics on my computer!! Technology!

Anyhows I have scanned a pic of me and my OH.

We had been to a 70's night about 8 or 9 years ago. I could never understand why some folk used to refer to us as 'the Ozbournes' LOL.
