I love to read other bloggs and books. It is my 'wind down' from my hectic life and sometimes I read something that just connects! Recently I read a quote

Happy New Year
It has been a strange Christmas and New Year this year. We happened to get an extra guest on the 22nd December, this made Christmas ...well, different!! Anyone who knows my job will understand this comment!
New Year was very quiet for us, mostly jumping around like idiots (well OK I looked like an idiot but the kids were fine ;-p) to the Wii and X-box. The village comes alive just before midnight, I didn't know we had so many people in the village. Everyone congregated at the Hall for the midnight chimes, some kind soul even had a small firework disply, thank you.
I love Christmas usually but my extra guest placed quite a bit of strain on the family dynamics, this will not be repeated another year that is for sure. I took down my decorations today too. Don't you just love how instantly tidy your house looks.
No pictures for New Year but I thought I would introduce you to the other members of my household.
This is Asia, better known as mogglett, she is supposed to be a full pedigree Maine Coon but somehow I doubt that is true though she does have their traits, she loves to play fetch. We bought her when she was about 8 weeks old from a friend of ours. Mogglett will be 3 this year.
We also have Buffy, or rather my son Chris does. She was a rescue, as most of my animals have been. She was heavily pregnant when found but lost all but 1 kitten, poor thing. Buffy was so skinny when we got her about 3 and half years ago but now she is a little podgy around the middle and as greedy as!! At home she is better known as Skitty for reasons I'd rather not say!
Here is a very rare pic of them together, never happens normally, Buffy is way too refined to sit near Mogglett.
We also adopted another Boxer dog. Our last big man was a huge white Boxer called Buster. He was fab in every way except he hated other dogs...now meet Dillon who moved in last February. He is nearly 8 years old and brilliant in every way except... you guessed it, he hates other dogs with a passion!!
We are also owned by an ancient white rabbit called Bilbo who is also a rescue. He has been with us about 5 years and he had lived at the sactuary we got him from longer than any other rabbit!
And apart from the 'Others Who Cannot be on Here' also known as OWCH!! that is it for my family.
